Toby brings more than 20 years of experience to his role as partner, specialising in general corporate and mergers and acquisitions taxation matters, with a particular focus on private equity and venture capital.
Toby’s advisory expertise includes tax due diligence on the acquisition of investments, the formation of private equity and venture capital funds, structuring investments, capital management strategies and structuring management and employee incentives.
Background
Toby is a member of the legal and tax committee for the Australian Investment Council (formerly AVCAL) and FinTech Australia and has drafted submissions to Treasury on tax matters relating to private equity, venture capital and early-stage companies.
A Fellow of The Tax Institute, he has presented at seminars and published on inbound investment and private equity. He holds degrees in law and commerce from the University of Western Australia.
