Herbert Smith Freehills today announced the promotion of 32 new partners to its global partnership – another very strong promotion round for the international law firm.

These promotions reflect the firm's ambition and commitment to investing in its market-leading practices and people to deliver ongoing growth and success. Many of the new partners are promoted in areas aligned to the firm's strategic choices and the areas it has prioritised under its Ambition 2025 strategy. They will strengthen the firm's expertise in private capital, energy transition and ESG.

The new partners are based across the firm’s international network in Asia, Australia, EMEA and the UK.

CEO Justin D’Agostino said:

"Our new partners are outstanding legal experts with all the skills and attributes demanded of a leader today. They embody our confidence and ambition for the future and possess the right mindset and capability to ensure our firm leads in everything we do for our clients, our people and our wider communities. These new partners are key to the future of our firm."

Chair and Senior Partner Rebecca Maslen-Stannage added:

"We are excited about this year's partner promotions, which reflect our exceptional level of ambition for the firm and our people, and confidence in our future. These promotions align with our Ambition 2025 strategy and growth areas, including private capital, energy transition and ESG – and deliver on our aim to be in the leading pack of everything we do. We are very proud of our new partners and congratulate them on achieving this tremendous milestone in their careers."
