SAS Defontaine est une société de construction spécialisée dans le gros œuvre.

Herbert Smith Freehills Paris has advised Spie batignolles on its acquisition of the construction company SAS Defontaine, based in Maine-et-Loire, a department in West central France.

Spie Batignolles is a global construction company, which provides building and infrastructure construction services in France and internationally.

SAS Defontaine is a building company specialising in large structural work.

The Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by Corporate partner Edouard Thomas, supported by associate Noémie Laurin.

The seller, the Defontaine family, was advised by Oratio.

Our team also advised Spie batignolles on two additional majority stake transactions recently accomplished by the group in the building and construction sector to continue to grow externally: the acquisition of the construction company Abscis Bertin based in Normandy in June this year, and the acquisition of a 60% stake in the capital of France-based construction company Entreprise Boyer in December 2016.
