Commenting on his new role, Jeremy said: "I'm delighted to take on the leadership of Herbert Smith Freehills UK & EMEA real estate team. The team has achieved a huge amount in recent years and owes a real debt of thanks to Don for guiding it so successfully through a period of significant market change. I am looking forward to building on the great things that Don has achieved to ensure the real estate team continues to develop its market leading reputation in the UK, EMEA and beyond."

Don said: "It's been a fantastic few years where we have seen significant growth in the real estate business across the UK & EMEA region and appointed nine new partners. I am pleased to hand over the reins now to Jeremy, who has an outstanding reputation and is one of our truly great partners with enormous experience in real estate."

Don will continue in his role as client relationship partner for some of the real estate group`s core clients and actively assist with the growth of the international real estate practice.
