Isabelle’s practice centres on international arbitration. She acts for states and large corporations and has developed substantial expertise in industries including hotel and leisure, oil and gas, aerospace and large-scale infrastructure projects. Chambers Global 2012 describes Isabelle as a ‘highly regarded and visible member of the international arbitration scene’

Isabelle has appeared before numerous high-profile arbitral tribunals under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), and in ad hoc arbitrations under the rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). She also regularly acts as arbitrator in arbitration proceedings (under the ICC or other rules).

Isabelle also appears in related proceedings before the French courts, in cases involving issues of sovereign immunities, as well as interlocutory, interim or conservatory relief, enforcement and challenges of arbitral awards. Her expertise in commercial arbitration is highlighted by her listings in Chambers Global 2012, the Global Arbitration Review's International Who’s Who in Commercial Arbitration 2011, and the Legal 500.


  • a North African state in an arbitration initiated by an investor in relation to an alleged expropriation claim (ICSID arbitration)  
  • an original equipment manufacturer against an aero-engine manufacturer in defending claims for interpretation and renegotiation of long-term ‘partnership’ contracts for the development and production of aircraft engine components (ICC arbitration) 
  • a Swedish company and two French companies as co-counsel in an arbitration concerning an exclusive distribution agreement (SCC arbitration)   
  • an industrial engineering company in defending technically complex claims for damages arising from the construction of rolling stock for a metro (ICC arbitration) 
  • an oil and gas exploration and production company on a dispute over the supply of gas in a North African state (ICC arbitration)
